November 2015: Ange has over 20 years of experience working in different areas of the Health Sector as a pouawhi/paeārahi in Mental Health and Whānau Ora.
Outside of work Ange loves photography and spends her time capturing the beauty and energy of whānau, hapū and iwi as well as local schools. She especially loves taking photos of kapa haka and birthday celebrations. When she’s not taking pictures also coaches tamariki in softball and teeball and loves watching as her mokopuna progress in education.
Ange loves her mahi and finds working with our whānau the highlight of her day “being able to watch people as they realise the power they have to make positive changes for themselves and their whānau is so inspiring”, says Ange.
The extensive experience that Ange holds has helped her to understand deeply the challenges that our whānau face. These experiences have allowed her to see first hand the power of Whānau Ora as a tool for whānau transformation.
