Hygiene packs rewarded with haka

They’re part of the kaupapa Pūwhakamua, under the guidance of Billy MacFarlane, and are in one bubble while they reintegrate into society, learn te reo and tikanga Māori. The men build cabins on a papakāinga as a source of income, as they make efforts to change their lives.

We’ve been working alongside them during our COVID-19 response, supporting them with packs. They were so appreciative they performed a ‘thank you’ haka. Watch their haka here.
