Whakawhetū is running a one-day seminar in each of six regions (see below) during 2015, on Sudden Unexpected Death in Infancy (SUDI). The purpose of the seminars is to:
- Increase the knowledge of SUDI across the health sector and agencies
- Share ideas and strategies on how we can continue collectively to reduce the SUDI rates in Aotearoa
- Network with others working to further reduce SUDI rates
- Increase community awareness and engagement in SUDI prevention
The seminars will build on existing SUDI knowledge and expertise, and will provide a forum to share innovative ideas about supporting women to stop smoking in pregnancy, encourage breastfeeding and practice safe sleep.
More information and an online registration form will be available soon on the Whakawhetū website at www.whakawhetu.co.nz.
