
The awards showcased Te Arawa talent and acknowledged excellence in sport, cultural activities, service to the community, academia, and Te Arawa making positive contributions to whānau, hapu, iwi, and marae.Event organiser, Canaan Tuhura, says the evening was one of the best he’s been a part of with a large spread of finalists especially in the iwi, whānau and hapū sections.The late Mita Hikairo Mohi was inducted into the Hall of Fame for his contribution to rugby league and other recreational activities for Māori. His family received the award on his behalf.
