It is a fantastic chance to kick-start your career or change your career direction by studying towards a New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (Civil) through the New Zealand Institute of Highway Technology (NZIHT).
Participants will receive practical work experience and training whilst undertaking part-time studies toward a National Diploma in Civil Engineering. The cadetship is for a maximum of four years and applicants should have a minimum of NCEA or equivalent in maths, chemistry and physics.
Applicants must be self-motivated towards work, study and have an affinity towards their Ngāti Whakauetanga. Applicants need an inquiring mind, a willingness to learn and a commitment towards gaining an engineering qualification.
Applicants must be a descendant of an original owner in the Pukeroa Oruawhata Block or a descendant of one or more of the 6 Koromatua of Ngati Whakaue http://ngatiwhakaue-eetb.org.nz/
