This workshop is aimed at delivering life-saving safety messages to families and communities. It's also a great networking opportunity for anyone interested in preventing child deaths and injuries.
Participants will receive a certificate of attendance at the conclusion of the workshop.
Why home safety?
By the age of two, 28% of children in New Zealand would have sustained an injury that required a doctor, health centre or hospital visit. The most common place where an injury occurs is in the children’s own home (69%).
Who should attend?
Community leaders, policy makers, health professionals, teachers, home visitors, injury prevention practitioners, Tamariki Ora providers, DHBs, councils, refugee and new migrant services and social support services.
