
'Turamarama ki te Ora' is a two day conference developed by Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Pikiao Trust. Guest speakers from New Zealand and overseas include: Moana Jackson, Moira Clunie, Dr Keri Lawson Te Aho, Rangimarie Naida Glavish, Dr Shiloh Groot, Said Shahtahmasebi and Dr Monique Faleafa.Turamarama ki te Ora will look at suicide prevention from an indigenous worldview, understanding protective factors for preventing suicide and enhancing the wellbeing of our whānau."We would also like to invite community members, organisations and providers to hold a stall in our exhibition area during Turamarama ki te Ora. Whether you provide health, education or social services, this will be a great way to promote what you do to a wide audience from across the motu", says Conference Co-ordinator, Te Pae Fitzell.
