The conference aims to provide positive learning with the aim of transforming indigenous communities through cultural recognition and practices.
In-conjunction with the conference an indigenous youth summit will be held to build indigenous youth champions so they are able to return back to their communities and lead positive changes among their peers.
Kimiora Trust, which facilitated the first National Māori Youth Conference 2015 in Aotearoa will be lending their support to this international event, as well as Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Pikiao's rangatahi (youth) advisory network.
This event encourages indigenous nations worldwide to gather and validate their own cultural norms and realities whilst looking at how communities can contribute to reducing suicide and its long term impacts on indigenous peoples.
