Saturday 22nd February will see whānau from all over the rohe come together and celebrate whakawhānaungatanga, Te Arawatanga and hauora.This is proudly a smoke, drug, alcohol & violence free event.
Activities include include Kī o Rahi, Waka tangata, Kaiaka – athletic pursuits, toia kumea – power pulling, duathlon, heke ngaru – surfing, hī ika – fishing, and wānanga kōrero.
Te Arawa Games project co-ordinator Moana Miller, said the aim of the Te Arawa games is about celebrating Te Arawatanga and bringing whānau together in a fun, safe and positive space.
