A unique and highly anticipated conference will be held at Tangatarua Marae in Rotorua between 25-26 May this year.
This gathering will being together a wealth of knowledge from across New Zealand to facilitate conversations and new thinking on complex issues facing Maori communities today.
Together they will explore the realms of traditional and contemporary concepts that protect our whānau from contemplating suicide and or harming themselves.
Join a concerned community as they take a different view of suicide and suicidal behaviour prevention.
This conference aims to provide inspiration, ideas, new technology and tools for protecting our whanau and community. We look forward to welcoming you to what is expected to be a conference of growth and inspiration.
Guest speakers include, Moana Jackson, Professor Kerry Chamberlain, Naida Glavish and local Te Arawa academics Dr Tepora Emery and Dr Keri Lawson-Te Aho, both experienced researchers in suicide prevention.
